III’mmm Baaaack! :-)
WOW!… It’s really been a long time!!!
I MISS YOU 2 !!!
Why don’t we start our reconnection with the Bay 101 “SHOOTING STARS” Tournament!! It was held on March 9th in San Jose…

Matt Savage runs a first class event!! This is by far one of my favorite tournaments to attend!! The fans are incredible!! Not to mention, this is where all of the pros rendezvous for the year! It’s great to see everyone!!

The concept of the tournament is so much fun! Being a bounty always adds extra excitement! The player who knocked me out- received 5K… & of course a shooting star t-shirt with my pic on it!! LOL!

Their hospitality was awesome… they really know how to throw out the “red carpet”…. this year they had private jets arranged for the pros! My plane mates were- Ted Forrest, Anna Wroblewski, Dan Harrington, & Barry Greenstein ….
I made it pretty far in the tournament… down to the last 50 or so… my last hand was as follows: hold cards were (89)… the flop came (Q89)… I checked raised ALL IN (it was a huge raise)… he thought & thought- then finally made the call (KQ)…. the turn came a KING… & that was it for me!!

On the spur of the moment, I decide to take a cab from San Jose to San Francisco and catch a flight out to Atlantic City. This was only suppose to be a weekend getaway, but it lasted for more than a month! It was a great time- with the exception of the weather… way 2 COLD for me!! It was great to see all my poker friends on the east coast & especially my friends David Goldberg, Tara, Helen, Shelly, Sandra & Roy! I had a great time with Lou 2!!

It was then time for some warmer weather…. back to L.A.!! It felt great being back home!!
Have you ever heard of The Agape Spiritual Center? http://www.agapelive.com/ It’s a non- religious community center based on New Thought - Ancient Wisdom teachings & the energy of unconditional love!! The founder & spiritual director is Michael Bernard Beckwith ( you may have seen him on Oprah or in the movie the “Secret”) & his wife Rickie is the musical director!!
Oh My Gosh, when you walk through door… the LOVE & ENERGY totally consumes you!!! What an amazing experience!!! Michael is such an inspiring speaker!!! Did I tell you that the Agape is home of a nationally known choir- it is unbelievable!! I cant say enough about this place…. put it on top of your list if you’re in L.A… I LOVE IT THERE!!
I was a week late for the WSOP this year, due to moving from one apartment to another! But when finally arriving in Vegas- my good friend Sassy was waiting for me!! She is an unbelievable macrobiotic chef !

She flew in from Costa Rica- especially for the WSOP!! Her healthy wonderful meals were cooked daily for Eric Sidel, John Juwanda, Jeff Lasandra, Johnny World, David Singer, Steven Wulff & a few others. SHE IS THE BEST!
The venue for the WSOP is second to none!! There was electricity in the air each and every day!! I only cashed once this year! It was 5K buy-in stud Hi- lo event! Its always great being in Vegas this time of year!! There were some great parties too… my favorite being Doyle’s!!
Congratulations to my good friend Mike Rocco!! He won his first bracelet in a 1500 buy-in 7 stud event. What an exciting moment!
It was fun spending time with my dad… who is doing great now by the way!!! I spent time with my good friends Ken Hale, Desire, Dana, & Mary! My daughter Shannon came to Vegas for a while 2.

Lou was there for his 1st WSOP experience!! He played in a few of the NL events (no cashes). He is quickly developing into very good poker player!! I think maybe it has something to do with his teacher!! LOL!!
I did manage to pull off having my booth this year @ the WSOP Gaming Expo…. I had some great help this year with Trish & Sarah! Thank you so much!!

There are some new designs for the ladies & some new shirts for the men! So make sure you checkout my store!! http://store.cyndyviolette.com
The Main Event is always fun!! The who’s who of poker always turn out for this event!! I was running good for a while… until the table broke! Within the first 3 hands of the new table- I was knocked out! My last hand was as follows: hold cards were (AKsuited)… someone raised pre- flop & then I re-raised ALL IN! It was a big raise… although he had a lot of chips- he thought for a long, long, long, time & then he called!!! He called with POCKET TWOS!!!! They held up & that was it for me!!
Sincerely, there was a part of me that was a little relieved!! I was so over Vegas at this point… ready to go back to L.A. & get grounded again!! Sassy extended her trip to come back with me. She was so excited about going to the Agape Center!! She had been listening to some cds that I had from previous services! BUT there’s nothing like the real thing!! SHE LOVED IT!! It was the perfect ending to her trip!!!

Recently, I decided to move out of Vegas! So I’ve spent a lot of time packing already!! I was there for my birthday (Aug.19th) & had a great time!! At the last minute, Lou & I, decided to go to Little Buddah at the Palms for dinner. I initially invited my friends Ken, Desire, & Patrick to come! But to my surprise… all of my friends in the band LEADING EDGE showed up!! It was the “icing on the cake” you could say, on an already a great birthday party!!

What a great SURPRISE!!! The Coach, Cinnamon, Rains, Captain, Mary, Dana, everyone took turns singing & giving toasts!!! What a fun night!!
So now, I am back in L.A. right now… spending quality time with Shannon! Going back to Vegas soon to finish up the move!!
Wheeeee that was a 6 month summary!! Finally… I’m not sure about u, but I feel much better now!
So… Until next time everyone… It is great catching up with all of you!!! Boy, oh boy! That was a long one …. I won’t be away so long this time!!

I will try to sum it up the best I can!

We started out at “Essences Natural Food Market and Café” We had a great healthy lunch there and then we went to our appointment with Denny Waxman. His website is:

Ever since I started playing poker — over 20 years ago — whenever I was asked “who is your favorite player?”…. I always said “Chip”. Last year when we were working on the Professional Poker League together I got to know him even better. I had the opportunity to spend more time with him. I was able to see how important his family life was to him, and how much he loved his littleYorkie dogs! He will be greatly missed! this is so SAD!

I also visited my good friend Desi, in Absecon, and he shared with me his adventures from his recent trip to China.
